    Sindh's Fight For Pakistan
Description: Sindh's fight for Pakistan was won on June 26, 1947 when in pursuance of the HMGune 3 Plan the Province of Sindh exercised its option for joining the Pakistan Constituent Assembly. What happened before 26 June, 1947, is depicted in the documents and correspondence relating to and dealing with the Sindh affairs available in the Shamsul Hasan collection which are being published here in this volume. These letters written to Quaid-i-Azam by known and unknown figures and those which he wrote illuminate the day-to-day happenings and bring out the historic events in their exact magnitude and correct perspective. They cover a period of about thirty-five months and fourteen days-the first document is dated 11 March, 1994 while the last one bears the date of 24 February, 1947. In these momentous months Sindh passed through such crucial upheavals that their impact changed the pattern of its politics. The roots of some of Sindh's present day problems, it would not be wrong to say, have their origin in those events.
