 About The Author:
ABDUL RASHID MOTEN is professor in the Department of political science at the international Islamic University Malaysia He earned his PhD. in political science from the university of Alberta Canada and Masters from Dhaka Bangladesh and Villanova pa USA He has been teaching at the university level for about 35 years in various countries including Pakistan Bangladesh Nigeria Canada U.K and U.S.A He has contributed over 50 articles in various international journals and has authored four books including political science An Islamic perspective (London Macmillan. 1996) and co-edited four books including Islam in Africa (Ibadan spectrum books 1996).
