Description: Amir Murtaza is a Fulbright Fellow: he holds a Master's degree in International Policy Studies, with specialization in International Development, from Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey, California, USA. He has more than seventeen years of progressively responsible professional work experience with the NGOs, INGOs, UN organizations and Government of Sindh, Pakistan. He has vast experience in working with children, and their families, victim of violence, exploitation, neglect and abuse. He has designed and executed a number of projects for the protection of the vulnerable sections of the society, notably women and children. Amir is a passionate advocate against discrimination and marginalization of women and children; therefore, he has been extensively writing to highlight their issues. His work has been widely published in journals, newspapers and websites. Amir regularly writes short stories, especially for children; furthermore, his Urdu poetry have also been published. Amir is the founder of Human and Community Development Clinic – a non-formal community service program - which serves as a consultant of local non-profits, community groups and individuals who share his vision of social justice.
